Cory Runner/ups in Stock, goes to third round in Super Comp. John was a little too ealry at the tree in the opening round.

John Evans Recap

Top Comp proved to be one of the highlights of the race at Mission. 52 cars (the largest field) attempted to make the 48 available spots and John Evans in his blown rear engined dragster ran a career best 7.35@184 to sit #17. In round one he faced Scott Taylor. Unfortunately John was a little too anxious and red lit by less than 1/100th. After great lights in qualifying and having a car that was very consistent in his four laps, John knew he let a good opportunity slip away.

Cory Thompson

Cory looks like he is on a roll in the Stocker and is getting a handle on the Super Comp Dragster as well. In Stock cory went to the six and final round in the E/SA Firebird amd defeated the likes of Eric Waldo along the way. His hopes of getting his first Wally in a sportsman class was dashed by the bright sun and his squinting his way to a bad .104 rt and not being able to catch winner Sean Kennedy. Sean took the stripe by .07. He has gone on to win one Pro Bracket race at Mission in the Stocker and is leading the point standings in Pro. In Super Comp Cory Went to the third round and faced Mike Drzayich. Cory got the holeshot but took 7/1000ths too much stripe and broke out sennding Mike to round four. He ended up facing his brother Adam in the final round and Adam took the win in the all Drzayich final round.
